A new five-storey healthcare facility in Louisville is set to expand regional medical infrastructure, with construction expected to begin in autumn 2026.

Turner Construction has announced that its Turner-FH joint venture has been selected to build a new AdventHealth hospital in Louisville, Colorado.

The project, announced on 15 October 2026, will occupy a 40-acre campus and include a 373,000-square-foot, five-storey hospital. The development is intended to expand healthcare capacity and improve access to medical services in the surrounding region.

Construction Timeline

According to Turner Construction, the new inpatient facility is scheduled to break ground in autumn 2026, with completion anticipated in early 2029.

The company has not disclosed detailed clinical department layouts or the proposed number of hospital beds in its announcement.

A Complex Building Project

Hospitals are among the more demanding building types to deliver. Beyond their structural requirements, they require careful coordination of ventilation, electrical distribution, medical systems, patient circulation and infection-control considerations.

For the project team, these requirements make early coordination between architectural, structural and building-services disciplines particularly important.

The AdventHealth development adds a substantial new healthcare construction project to Colorado's pipeline. Its delivery will depend not only on completing a large building, but also on creating a reliable environment for clinical operations and future healthcare needs.
