Strategic Acquisition Strengthens Saint-Gobain’s Digital Concrete Solutions

Starategic Acquisition Strengthens Saint-Gobain’s Digital Concrete Solutions

Saint-Gobain has announced the acquisition of Maturix, a Denmark-based provider of real-time concrete monitoring solutions. This marks a significant step in expanding its digital construction chemicals platform.

Maturix’s wireless sensor technology enables remote, real-time monitoring of concrete curing and hardening, reducing the construction cycle by up to 50%, enhancing job-site efficiency, and improving structural performance.

This move builds on Saint-Gobain’s industry-leading digital innovation, including its Verifi® platform —a digital in-transit concrete management solution already deployed across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Verifi® and Maturix together will offer a comprehensive solution for optimising concrete placement both in transit and on-site.

“This acquisition reinforces our position in the digitalisation of the concrete industry,” said a Saint-Gobain spokesperson. “It enables our customers to reduce overdesign, minimise waste, and optimise operational efficiency across the concrete and cement value chain.”

Saint-Gobain and Maturix are already working on a joint offering, combining their strengths to deliver end-to-end digital concrete management for construction professionals worldwide.
