Brisbane's New Olympic Stadium Moves Toward Final Construction Contract

A joint venture of BESIX Watpac and John Holland has been selected as the sole finalist to deliver Brisbane's new 63,000-seat Olympic stadium at Victoria Park.

The $3.6 billion venue is planned as the centrepiece of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The consortium will now progress through final contract negotiations, with major construction expected to begin in 2027. The stadium has been designed by Cox and Hassell.
